Coach Andrew “A.J.” Jackson
Coach Andrew “AJ” Jackson, C.E.O. & President of A thru Z Youth & Fitness and CALISPEED, is a former NFL running back for the Houston Oilers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers who has successfully coached at the high school and college level for nearly 2 decades, including coaching for the National Football Academy as its lead RB coach. Today, through his company, Coach AJ offers a training program that helps football players at all positions get bigger, stronger and faster, working with numerous athletes, many of whom go on to successful collegiate and professional football careers.
A California native who grew up in Los Angeles, California, Coach AJ attended Manual Arts High School and played Varsity Football there for three years. Starting on both offense and defense, he received Best Offensive Back three years in a row and Most Valuable Player two years in a row, and he was selected All City and All American as a running back.
Earning a full scholarship to University of Southern California, he was New Comer of the Year on the U.S.C. football team in his freshman year. He transferred to El Camino City College, where he was selected All League Running Back and the team’s Most Valuable Offensive Back and graduated with an Associate of Arts Degree.
AJ next transferred to Iowa State University, where he majored in Business and played on the football team. Now a junior, he was selected Best Offensive Back and Best Newcomer to the team, and as a senior, he was voted team captain in addition to again being selected Best Offensive Back. He also earned an award for good conduct on and off the field.
After Iowa State, the Houston Oilers signed AJ as a free agent for the 1987 season. He finished the year as Houston’s second leading rusher behind Mike Rozier, the former Heisman Trophy winner. At the end of the year, the Oilers released him, and he was acquired by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, playing several games for the Buccaneers until he was released in 1988.
For more than 16 years since completing his NFL career, AJ has been coaching and training. As lead RB coach with the National Football Academy (featuring Darin Slack of QBA), Coach AJ specialized in developing running backs for the NFA. ISSA Certified as a strength and speed trainer, he traveled the country, teaching the basics to youth running backs and the F4 (form, feet, fit, finish) system to advanced running backs.
In the 2009-2010 seasons, he served as the strength and conditioning coach for Verbum Dei High School’s football team, which became the 2009 League Champs under his training, and for the George Washington Preparatory High School girl’s varsity basketball team. Coach AJ also held the Athletic Director position at Animo South Los Angeles High School, leading the team to the title of first- year runner up in the small school championships two years in a row.
From 2010 to 2012, Coach AJ was Running Back Coach at East Texas Baptist University, where he helped guide RB Jair Stover and ETBU to back-to-back, 1000-yard-rushing seasons.
Since establishing A thru Z Youth & Fitness and CALISPEED, Coach AJ’s Training and Development System has guided numerous athletes to success in football and athletics.

Coach Britt has spent the last 8 years immersing himself in the Quarterback position. Specializing in biomechanically correct throwing mechanics he has also been the QB coach for Archer High School in the highly competitive Gwinnett County just outside of Atlanta, GA.
In the last 3 years Archer has gone 33-7 and made it all the way to the State Championship in 2014. His QBs have thrown for over 8,500 yds and 78 TDs in that span. Adam works several NFA camps a year, is a speaker for the Glazier Coaching Clinics and trains youth, high school and college QBs all over the country.
In college, Adam was an All American golfer for Berry College in Rome, GA. His background in the biomechanics of the golf swing gave him a great foundation in throwing mechanics with the many similarities the two rotational sports share and the process to improve them.
Chad Case is the Offensive Coordinator and QB Coach at Lincoln High School (Lincoln, NE). Chad is also a Certified Nutritionist; Certified Children’s Nutritionist, and is CEO of Max Muscle of Nebraska. Case was a collegiate standout in football, playing defensive end and linebacker, and served as a Graduate Assistant at Pittsburg State University while attending graduate school. Chad, a successful businessman, also founded and oversees a youth football organization, Star City Select, which was inspired by the NFA message and methodology.
Before climbing to the HS coaching ranks, in Case’s seven year tenure as a head coach and offensive coordinator of the Star City Silverbacks, his team compiled a record of 88-5-1. His teams averaged over 40 points per game, giving up an average of only 3 points per game. They won 6 out of 7 league championships, back to back Regional Titles, and culminated their run with the Silverbacks winning back to back National Championships through the NYFC in 2013 and 2014.
More recently, Case has been instrumental helping to rebuild the Lincoln High football program. LHS returned to the state playoffs for the first time in over a decade in 2016. Implementing the R4 Game Planning Process, Lincoln High finished the 2016 season as one of the most explosive offenses in the state, finishing in the top 5 in yards per game, passing, and scoring.
Chad serves as NFA’s National Director of Nutrition and oversees all athletes in education on nutrition, supplementation, nutrient utilization, and customized meal planning. He is also certified as a QBA Coach.
Case and his wife, Heidi, have three children, Cedric, Harper, and Haidyn.
Coach Ulibarri is entering his 11th year coaching HS Football. In his 1st season at Warrenton HS working with the QB’s he worked with an inexperienced group of QB’s. In the first 2 seasons his starter went on to break all of Warrenton’s passing records and a college scholarship. The next 3 years brought even more success for the QB’s. They were able to again break all of the school’s Offensive recorders and a state runner-up finish in the 2010 season. Two of those QB’s went onto play college football at the D1 and D2 levels.
After his success at Warrenton Coach Ulibarri joined the Holt HS as the DC and QB Coach. In his first 2 seasons his defenses were 2 of the best in school history. Those 2 years he was able to help 9 kids go onto play college football. On the offensive side of the ball the QB in his first 2 seasons was able to help the team to 2 conference championships.
The last 2 season he moved over to the OC/QB coach role. He guided an offense that broke all of the schools passing records. His 2 year starter went on to set all of the Passing records in school history and earn a college scholarship.
This past season Coach Ulibarri moved to Jenks HS in Tulsa OK to coach the TE/FB’s. His group was able to help Jenks win its 4 consecutive State Championship and 16th overall.
In 2014 Coach Ulibarri joined NFA as a certified QB Coach. Joining NFA has provided Coach Ulibarri to work with other great coaches and players all over the country.

Coach Doug Greenwood began coaching in 1994 at Anna-Jonesboro High School in Southern Illinois. Over the course of 19 years at AJ, Coach Greenwood managed and coached the Jr. High program, was the Head Freshman Coach, Offensive Coordinator, Varsity Defensive Coordinator, and has coached all positions on both sides of the ball.
Coach Greenwood began coaching with National Football Academies in 2011 and was selected as the Head Coach for the 8th Grade Future All-American Bowl. In 2013 Coach Greenwood moved to Jenks High School Oklahoma to be the Running Back Coach. For the last 2 years he has been the Head Offensive Line Coach for the 4 year consecutive State Champion Jenks Trojans.
LTC (RET) Crabb faithfully served his country with outstanding service for over 22 years. He served in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. Coach Crabb has served in the U.S. and abroad. While in the service, what he found most rewarding was coaching, mentoring, training and developing young men & women into excellent service members and superior teams. Coach has been married to the same beautiful young lady since 1991 and he has two wonderful kids; one who is a graduated from Virginia Tech and was the captain the Virginia Tech’s Dance Team and a son who is a QB and track phenom.
Coach Crabb started his coaching career in 1992. He has coached a variety of sports, baseball, tee ball, basketball, track, and football at all levels, but his 1st love has always been football. He has a passion for the game and is always trying to learn something new. Coach Crabb has had the pleasure to personally work with and learn from individuals who are Hall of Famers, individuals who have played at all levels and individuals who have won Championships at the heights levels. Some of the people Coach Crabb has interacted with are Art Monk, Ricky Ervins, Brian Mitchell, Phillip Blackwell, Shawn Springs, Dub Maddox, Darin Slack, JC Bosie, Joe Krivak, Jim Poythress, & Eric Henderson. Coach Crabb ‘s goal for all of his players is for them to attend college and become great men and role models.
In 2007, Coach Crabb decided to specialize in the development of Quarterbacks. His desire lead him to development began with the late Joe Krivak, former Maryland Head Football Coach. Coach Crabb worked with Coach Krivak for over 4 years. Coach Crabb was then introduced to Dub Maddox and Darin Slack and he has continued his professional development under these great men. Coach Crabb is in the process of moving “Mountains” as he is striving to become a collegiate coach one day.
Coach Crabb is currently the Varsity Quarterbacks Coach & Passing Game Coordinator for TC Williams HS, “Remember The Titans”. He is looking forward to implementing the same things he did at Hayfield, where he was instrumental in Hayfield winning their conference and averaging over 37 points per game and the same techniques and tactics he used at Lake Braddock Secondary, 2013 District Champions and who averaged 42 points per game and over 300 yards of passing offense.
Coach Crabb played college football at Morgan State University. He continued his playing in Darmstadt Germany where started as the QB and was a team Captain for the Darmstadt Raiders. Coach Crabb’s love affair with sports, specifically football, has led him to a daily grind of learning as much as he can about the game. Coach Crabb has coached all facets of the game of football and he has coached at the youth, semi-pro and high school.
Coach’s desire to be a better QB Coach lead him to Darin Slack’s National Football Academies; which he realizes that this was nothing but God. Coach is very grateful and he thanks God for allowing him to meet all the gentlemen mentioned above and all the coaches at National Football Academies.
Coach Crabb’s awards include: 1986 & 1987 Academic All American, 1996 EFL Semi Pro Football Defensive Coordinator of the Year and 2102 Fairfax Nike’s Youth Coach of The Year, Good Conduct Medal, Operation Enduring Freedom Campaign Medal, Joint Meritorious Service Medal and several other military awards.
Coach Crabb thanks God for a wonderful spouse who is allowing him to chase to his passion. He knows through faith, he will move “Mountains” and in the future he will be a college coach. Until then, he will continue to be content with where God has him and do his best to impact young men lives and the lives he comes into contact with.

Coach Boshears graduated from the University of Arkansas where he played football for the Razorbacks. He spent several years coaching high school football in Arkansas and has always maintained a strong passion to lead young men on and off the field. He follows the philosophy of utilizing football as a platform to impact young men for life.
Coach Boshears has been with NFA for six years and directs Regional Quarterback Development Camps in Arkansas. Coach Boshears coaches quarterbacks at Little Rock Christian in Little Rock, Arkansas in the off-season and has successfully placed multiple quarterbacks at the college level. In 2015 coach Boshears had four quarterbacks make First Team All-State and four quarterbacks sign with colleges in Arkansas and Oklahoma that were involved in his off-season training program. Coach Boshears has had a heavy emphasis on youth development during his tenure in the Little Rock, Arkansas area and at Little Rock Christian.
Coach Boshears considers it an honor to work with athletes who are in pursuit of something greater than themselves and to be the most prepared competitor possible. Coach Boshears focuses on the leadership abilities of an athlete as much as the skill set of the athlete. “One cannot exist without the other when it comes to playing quarterback.”
Rod Robison is the Owner/Operator of Coach Rod 1st Sport and Scholastic Success Systems in Nevada and Northern California.
For more than 25 years, he has coached and trained athletes that have gone on to play college football at schools such as Wisconsin, Washington State, Huron University and Southern Oregon. With NFA, Coach Robison travels to Nevada, California, Arizona and Utah working with athletes who have the desire to train to play at the next level.
Robison has served as a high school Head Coach, as well as Strength Coach, Quarterback, Wide Receiver and Defensive Back Coach at the collegiate level.
Coach Robison played football at Air Force Academy Prep and CSU-Chico, where he was a Most Valuable Defensive player. Robison went on to play two years of semi-pro football in Northern California, and he also had a brief stint with the Oakland Invaders in the USFL.
Coach Robison call on his own experiences training to compete at the next level to motivate young men that are willing to do the same. A certified FireWalk Instructor, Coach Robison thrives on assisting people with breaking through self-limiting beliefs on their way to achieving greatness.
Todd Espeland was a star high school quarterback in Iowa, and the NFA coach remains in his home state helping more prep players reach the next level.
Espeland is the veteran Quarterbacks Coach at Forest City High School in Iowa, and he served as the Indians’ Co-Head Coach in 2013. As QB Coach, he developed First Team All-District quarterbacks four out of five years.
Before landing at Forest City H.S., Espeland coached Quarterbacks and Wide Receivers at Waldorf College in Iowa.
Espeland was a nationally-ranked quarterback in junior college and graduated from Winona State University. Realizing the life lessons football taught him as a young player motivated Espeland to return to coaching and join NFA in order to bring out the best in young athletes both on and off the field.

James Martinez is in his 8th year working with NFA he is a currently a C2 certified quarterbacks coach with the quarterback academy. Coach Martinez works with quarterbacks in the northeast region. Coach Martinez has been a head high school coach for 8 years and has been coaching football since 1996, at both College and High School levels in multiple states including Texas, Arkansas, Arizona and Pennsylvania. Coach Martinez played at the University of North Dakota and was a member of 4 National Playoff Teams. James Martinez currently resides in Pottstown Pennsylvania with his wife Jolie and 3 children, Trent, Cyenna and Riley.

Casey Donovan is the Passing Game Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach at Arcadia High School in Phoenix, AZ. He also offers private QB training in the Phoenix area.
A two-sport athlete at Catalina Foothills High School in Tucson, Coach Donovan was a wide receiver and he continues to focus his expertise on the offensive side of the football.
In addition to handling QBs at the high school level, Donovan also has experience coaching wide receivers and offensive linemen.
Since joining NFA in 2010, Coach Donovan has practiced and preached the infinitely valuable concept of service. The focus of his coaching is to be great not for himself, but for the young men whose lives he is blessed with the opportunity to impact. He understands that attaining greatness guarantees exactly one thing: more opportunities to prove greatness.
Following a successful coaching career at the collegiate and high school levels, Mansur Ivie joined NFA in June of 2010 as a Certified Coach before adding Director of Logistics to his full-time responsibilities.
One of NFA’s Senior Certified Camp Coaches, Ivie most recently coached wide receivers at College of the Canyons in Southern California. Coach Ivie’s extensive experience on the offensive side of ball includes serving as offensive coordinator and quarterback, offensive line and wide receiver coach.
Coach Ivie thrives on traveling all over the country helping quarterbacks develop both their mental and physical skill sets, consulting with football programs and providing guidance to parents and athletes on maximizing production in the off-season.
Coach Ivie thoroughly enjoys working closely with athletes throughout their playing careers and helping them develop into elite level players as well as high caliber young men. He incessantly pushes his athletes both mentally and physically to reach their potential. Coach Ivie’s ultimate goal is ensuring his athletes take lessons and successes learned on the football field and apply them to their everyday lives.

JC Boice is a Senior Level Quarterback Coach and Managing Director for the National Football Academies (NFA). Coach Boice thrives on developing quarterbacks.
Born into a football family, Boice has played and coached the quarterback position for over 20 years. With a complimentary background in mechanical engineering and design, Coach Boice has risen as one of NFA’s premier throwing mechanic instructors. Traveling around the US and Canada Coach Boice is well known for helping QBs improve all aspects of their game, including arm strength, accuracy, speed of release, mental toughness and game preparation.
Coach Boice is a regular speaker and presenter for the Glazier Coaching Clinics, the US’s largest football coaching clinic tour with over 34,000 coaches as active members. Coach Boice also is a regular consultant and motivational speaker leading on team-building and is particularly focused on community based mentoring and development of life skills in young men through football.
In addition to leading NFA quarterback trainings and presenting, Coach Boice uses his business acumen in managing NFA’s New Business Development and Strategic Alliances. He has been a driving force behind NFA’s national branding and growth, including the launching of the NFA Nation Blog, NFA Watchlist, The Duel National Quarterback Competition, The Future All-Americans Bowl Showcase Event and NFA Blackshirt Academy.
When he’s not traveling for NFA Coach Boice resides with his wife Janine and their five children Court, Karter, Brook, Jordan and Landon in Victoria, BC.
In 2015 Coach Boice took over as Head Coach for Victoria’s CJFL (Canadian Junior College) team the Westshore Rebels. Prior to Coach Boice’s arrival the Rebels had been struggling with 5 straight losing seasons. Coach Boice turned things around quickly. In 2016 the Rebels finished 10-1-1 and the #2 ranked team in Canada. Boice was named both the BCFC and CJFL Coach of the Year.
Coach Maddox is the Head Football Coach at Victory Christian High School in Tulsa, OK. He is also a co-owner and Camp / Curriculum director for National Football Academies. He previously served 13 years as the Offensive Coordinator and QB Coach for the nationally ranked 13 time 6A State Champion Jenks Trojans in Oklahoma.
Coach Maddox is considered to be one of the leading experts in QB training and offensive scheme tactics in the country. He is a 3x author and creator of the revolutionary R4 system. The R4 system is a reads and recognition system that is used to accelerate decision making for QB’s and provide sound offensive concepts for their coaches.
The R4 books “From Headset to Helmet”, “Adapt or Die” and “What is Open?” is becoming a foundational and must have tool for every football program.
